We are pleased to offer these terrific 9 and 51 LED flashlight units which emit ultraviolet light at a wavelength of 385nm. They are powerful enough to make long wave reacting gems and minerals fluoresce even in fairly bright light. The original 9 bulb flashlight is powered by 3 "AAA" batteries. Our new offering is a 51 LED flashlight powered by 3 "AA" batteries.
In dark conditions, some insects, especially scorpions, glow green when illuminated by UV light.
We are the only supplier offering such units with a filter to block the visible light (also emitted from the LED's), which otherwise would make it difficult to see the fluorescent colors of your gems and minerals.
